A brainchild of the Newsletter & Cultural Subcommittee during the pandemic, PathVarna, the official newsletter of KCIAPM came to light in the year 2022. With an intent to reach out to all peers across regions, this biannual magazine is a platform for all pathologists to contribute articles, poetry, art, photography, interviews, events, announcements, and much more, exploring the world outside while still being connected to the roots of pathology. Each volume has a running theme highlighting unknown facets in the field. PathVarna is here to bring out the creative side in you to color this magazine.

Karnataka Chapter - Indian Association of Pathologists & Microbiologists
(KCIAPM)

With a vision to promote and advance Pathology, Microbiology and Allied Sciences of Laboratory Medicine in all their different branches, KCIAPM was incepted on 20th September 1975. Dr. K. V. Ghorpade drafted the constitution of the association at Bangalore Medical College. Over the last 50 years, the association has grown steadfast under many illustrious and successful leaders and is now the biggest chapter of IAPM, heading towards global recognition and advanced research. The annual state conference, KAPCON, is one of the most popular and sought after meets in the country. KCIAPM continues to promote the improvement of public health through practice and education in the state of Karnataka.
