Dear Friends,

As the President of the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (KCIAPM), it is my pleasure to welcome you to this edition of our official newsletter, PathVarna. With the new editorial team, it is exciting to see the journey of new ideas and fresh insights.

This issue is brilliantly themed The Human In-Situ. It looks at humanity through the eyes of a pathologists, and includes great articles and poetry. The interviews of eminent pathologists, Dr. Usha Kini and Dr. Suresh Hanagavadi add depth in understanding our field and are indeed valuable additions to this issue.

I am truly happy with the dedication and hard work shown by all our committees — the Social Media Committee, the Residents Committee, the Scientific Committee, or the Newsletter Committee. The combined efforts from all the members are crucial in elevating the public profile of Pathology. It is inspiring to see such commitment towards our common goals.

I am confident that with this team, PathVarna will continue to be a source of inspiration for many. I also urge all readers to actively contribute to the upcoming issues.
